On Tuesday 5th July the Still Parents project was featured on BBC Morning Live. Presenter of Morning Live, Kym Marsh, lost her baby Archie at 21 weeks in 2009. She shares:
“It was the worst thing that ever happened to me. i was absolutely devastated. I felt lonely and isolated, guilty and I felt like the only woman in the world that it had happened to”

Kym and the Morning Live team came along to a Still Parents workshop, took part in a print making workshop, led by project artist Harriet Hall, and spoke to other bereaved parents about their experience of losing a baby.

Kym also had the opportunity see the Still Parents exhibition and speak to participants about the works that they had made and chosen to go into the exhibition.

“Today’s been incredible. I’ve met some wonderful people. All sat in the room together sharing and not even though speech, we’ve all been through similar things and creating some special things for the children we’ve lost.”
Kym Marsh
“The exhibition itself is so thought provoking and will almost certainly lift the taboo surrounding baby loss.”

Kym also got to watch sign writer Damian Whyatt add her son’s name Archie Jay Lomas to the memory wall. Archie’s name joins 220 other precious babies who’s existence has been acknowledged by adding their names to the exhibition wall, something that brings comfort to those families.

“So proud, so proud to have him on this wall, it’s incredible.“
