Our recent development has not only seen the gallery double in size – it has fully integrated it into the park we call home. An art garden designed by Sarah Price, sculpture terrace and orchard garden, alongside new spaces that embrace the park, such as our landscape gallery, learning studio and the café in the trees, all reflect this beautiful setting.

Our relationship to the great outdoors isn’t limited to plants and gardens. At the Whitworth, we take the inside out via a programme of free events that explore art and nature, with activities such as Welly Walks, messy play sessions (inspired by the natural world) and self-guided trails around the park.
